Most of these medals show the wording "BY ACT OF CONGRESS" with a DATE when Congress passed the Act.

ALL medals shown on this page are Bronze and 1 1/2" in diameter, unless otherwise indicated.  Some are in original mint packaging.  Please see the pictures, as they will show if in original packaging (plastic).  ALL of these medals were struck by the US Mint in Philadelphia. Please examine the pictures closely as I offer NO RETURNS on these medals, primarily because of their low costs vs the current postage costs.  The DATE on these medals is the Year the Act of Congress was passed to strike the medal.

These makes for a great collection.  None would be considered rare, to my knowledge. The medals shown below are only a portion of those struck by the US Mint.  To my knowledge there is no comprehensive guide to these medals.  The US Mint does not keep very good records on the production of medals, and creating a guide for these is most difficult.  With a little bit of hunting at local shows and on the web most if not all of these medals can be located and many others made under An Act of Congress.  I believe there may be commerical books/holders available for mounting these medals.  Please ask questions, I may not know the answers but I will respond.
